If you delight in people watching and have an eye for details, New York City is definitely the town for you. You can be endlessly entertained with no effort of your part by simply walking around. Pick a neighborhood, a cross street, a landmark, a hotel lobby and observe - you won't be disappointed.
I've been living in Manhattan since 1997 and by now people watching is a hobby I practice daily. The subway is absolutely the most fascinating place for such a hobby, hence the name of this blog. I'm creating this blog to share people, animals, and events I observe everyday here in New York City.
To kick off this blog, I'm include a photo of an unusual and friendly dog I met in Manhattan. Like its owner, it was vibrant, curious and expressive! It also attempted to communicate wth me in a subliminal, nonverbal fashion.... Enjoy and happy 4th of July.
